Through our HR Advisory Board, we gather many experienced professionals that share their expertise and personal stories. Whether it is recruiting or networking, we have the strongest Advisory Board in the College of Business at CSULB.
INTERNSHIPS
Our HRMA members have an advantage with receiving internship opportunities. The HR Advisory Board, top executives from nationally known companies, search for applicants for internships.

The Board members specifically choose members from HRMA. Some of our members have interned for Target, Riviera Advisors, and the Port of Long Beach.
JOB SHADOW PROGRAM
The Job Shadow Program is a unique opportunity that allows you to spend a partial or full day at an employer’s Human Resources office. You can gain a new perspective on actual HR operations, and develop networking opportunities for possible internships or future employment. The application requires you to:

Be an HRM major or minor

Provide basic identification information (name, ID#, academic year, email address)

Rank your preferred employers
MENTORSHIP
We hope that through a Mentor, you will gain a better understanding of human resources and solidify your career goals. We are positive you will find the mentorship program to be rewarding and valuable.

Please complete the form in order to assist us to identify several prospective Mentors for you. The ultimate decision regarding the Mentor-Mentee relationship will be based on the mutual agreement of the individuals involved.

Stop by one of our weekly meetings to hear more about networking opportunities. The best way to practice your communication skills and connect with employers is at a professional mixer/networking event through our connections with PIHRA and SHRM.
